Class of 2021 Post-High School Plans
Check out the post-high school plans of the Class of 2021!
C/Capt Aguilar will be joining the Air Force as a 3P0X1 (Security Forces)!
She plans to continue with the Security Forces until she becomes cross-trained into being a K-9 Handler. After her time in the military, she plans on joining an environment that trains working dogs, such as being a handler for the State Patrol. Her biggest goal is to open a life care facility for medically discharged, disabled, and old Military Working Dogs.
C/LtCol M-B has accepted her appointment to the United States Air Force Academy and will leave for In-Processing Day on June 24th. At USAFA, she plans to Major in Behavioral Sciences with a Pre-Med Concentration and a Minor in Russian. She is interested in various activities such as the Cadet Honor Guard, Schulte Assembly, Secular Cadet Alliance, Spectrum, Medical Professionals Preparedness Club, Falcon Club, Skiing, and Judo.
She is especially interested in the Air Force Academy due to its rigorous technology-based classes. Having an in-depth knowledge of computer systems will allow her to draw parallels between the ways artificial intelligence is taught and how cognitive functions are developed, ultimately opening new perspectives and research areas.
By attending USAFA, she will be able to advance her goal of pursuing a Bachelor of Science and moving on for a doctorate in psychiatry. One potential outcome would be to meet the rising demand for the psychological preparation of being in the air for a prolonged period. She would use her skills as part of a team that could prepare individuals for deep space travel or long-term trips outside our atmosphere.
